Signing the Geneva Convention Agreement

Two days of hearings concluded at the International Court of Justice on Jan. 12, where the Republic of South Africa accused Israel of breaching the Geneva Convention on Genocide in its war on the Palestinian resistance. Lawyers representing South Africa presented video evidence and detailed accounts of events to argue intent, stating that genocidal utterances are embodied in state policy. Israel’s lawyers dismissed the evidence as rhetoric and argued that they are the victims of genocide acting in self-defense. South Africa’s Minister of Justice expressed confidence in the facts presented and stated that Israel has failed to disprove their case.

South Africa has requested the World Court to order Israel to immediately suspend its military operations in and against Gaza. Legal experts say that transnational cases like this can take years to resolve. South Africa’s case is historic and has been seen as a powerful and well-documented case against Israel’s actions. The move by South Africa is significant as it brings attention to Israel’s oppression, genocide, and forced displacement in Gaza. It has been noted that many nations view what is happening in Gaza as genocide, but it needed the right nation to bring it to the forefront in an international forum.

South Africa, with its history of opposing apartheid and its strong opposition to Israel’s apartheid regime, is considered the perfect nation to take this lead. This action by South Africa is part of the global demand for justice, and it follows a similar move by The Gambia in 2019 when they brought genocide charges against Myanmar for their treatment of the Rohingya Muslims. The world demand for justice is seen as an intensifying universal cry that will ultimately lead to the removal of all tyrants.

Minister Farrakhan has spent many years advocating for a balanced approach and warning against the consequences of unchecked oppression. He believes that justice will ultimately be delivered by God and that tyrannical nations will face consequences for their actions. In a lecture series in 2013, he emphasized that on a day of reckoning, everyone will be held accountable for their deeds, and this will be particularly detrimental for the wicked.

According to Minister Farrakhan, there is a law of requital mentioned by Jesus in the Book of Galatians that states that whatever a person sows, they will also reap. This means that those who administer suffering and loss will ultimately receive recompense for their actions. Additionally, Jesus also mentioned in the Book of Hosea that if someone sows the wind, they will reap the whirlwind, implying that nature always gives back more than what is initially given. If a person does good, God will reward them with even more goodness.

“But for the ‘evildoer’: God will bring recompense on your head. And for the wicked who persist in evil: Oh, this ‘whirlwind’ is now blowing at your door!” he warned.

The Honorable Min. Louis Farrakhan, APDTA

Observers believe that Israel’s day of reckoning has arrived, as South Africa takes the Zionist State to the International Court of Justice (ICJ). Support for Israeli accountability has grown in the days leading up to the ICJ hearing, with governments, scholars, and international organizations expressing overwhelming support for South Africa.

Iran also expressed support for the ICJ to impartially investigate the complaint against Israel and not succumb to pressure from the US. The Iran-based Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC) praised South Africa’s action and called on the international community to condemn Israel’s crimes against humanity and genocide. Nearly 850 scholars co-signed a public statement of support, emphasizing the need for accountability, an end to genocide, and the protection of human rights.

The ICJ, established as the highest judicial organ of the UN, is expected to make a decision on the case in the coming weeks, which could have significant political implications for Israel and its backers in the US.
